Manta |
The OPEL Manta was supplied in all remarks as 5-seater
Sports coupé. The long-drawn-out, in front fastened hood and stresses
sporty heckpartie, which reminded of the GT, gave to the Manta its
characteristic note. The sporty elegance by the low belt line and broad
doors with frameless, wide windows were underlined.
Further one TA attributes: Double round headlight, black radiator
grille, round rear lights with inserted return ticket who far from,
silver painted rims.
Also security did not come at that time into many minds. The Manta had a
safety all-steel body with crunch zones in front and in the back. The
passengers sit in a safety cell, and naturally also the Manta, like all
all OPELS vehicles equipped at this time, was with the impact-absorbing
safety steering system. The anatomically formed seats with the high
backrests and special support in the kidney area ensured a fatigue-free
driving, also on long distances. The high backrests are strengthened for
the admission of the head restraints (special equipment) and can to the
rear up to the edition on the rear seat be surrounded.

Manta L |
For customers, who attach importance on richer
equipment and an additional chrome decoration, the luxury Coupé was
recommended. It besitzte in relation to the normal model additionally:
Glove compartment, engine compartment and luggage compartment light,
side panel push-out window, Radzierringe, clock with electrical
elevator, lighting laid out for clock, Zig. lighter and ashtray, control
light for emergency brake and clutch liner, tiltable safety inside
mirror, mirror in right sun visor, tunnel console with ashtray, Zig.
lighter and open shelf, flexible hand grip at right door, ashtray at
both side panels, file under the rear window with felt, bumper horns,
chromium-plated Zierstab for push-out window, exhaust embellisher
chromium-plated, Zierstab made of high-grade steel for wheel sections
and entrance lining.

Manta SR |
This model was in contrast to the Manta L with the same
engine - to recognize also outwardly as the hot Rallye version. It was
in series equipped with high performance 1.6 litres the s -, 80 HP
engine. This engine exhibits a torque of 12,0 with 3800 U/min. kpm and
possesses accordingly protruding accelerating power. The Manta SR
offers apart from L equipment (except mirrors in right sun visor):
Engine of 1.6 litre, 80 HP, grill flat black, black seitenstreifen,
